Macià: “Our responsibility is to make Real Betis sport aspect up to its social extent”
The new Technical Director of the Green-and-White Club was presented in the press room at Benito Villamarín Stadium
Eduardo Macià, new Real Betis Balompié Technical Director, was presented at Benito Villamarín Stadium. He spoke about this “exciting challenge” in his career.
“It is important that Real Betis is able to send the message that we want to transmit. I appreciate the confidence that has been given to me. It’s an exciting challenge in a fascinating Club, with a very peculiar idiosyncrasy. It’s something that can be seen and appreciated from distance. I arrive to a Club with a huge potential where we can build a stable sports organization capable of confronting future challenges. As the Chairman said, it’s fascinating stage in my career, a step forward, a place where we can do big things working well and calmly. Stability will be key to make Betis well known not only at a national level, but at international level. We must build that Betis. Our work dedication will allow us to grow. That’s the idea I came with and that’s what I can promise."
“Here, I have found a Club that has shown a lot of credibility in our meetings. You can feel the seriousness and honesty in every conversation. That’s the first thing that comes to mind when choosing a new project. It wouldn’t be a good way to start otherwise, when you don’t see or receive credibility. They made me feel this seriousness from the first moment. We need to expand our boundaries, reach further, and make Real Betis name known in places that were unthinkable before. That would be achieved through stability.”
Here, I have found a manager involved and identified with this Project, and he also has a long career path in Real Betis. We will provide him with the tools for him to have stability and to make what he did in his first time in real Betis, when he took the Club to play in Europe. Pepe Mel is going to help us grow a lot.”
“I’m pleased to see Betis social extent. It’s going to be a great responsibility, both for the sports area and the board, to make Real Betis sport aspect up to its social extent. That’s another thing we are looking to achieve. We will try to achieve all of these things; and we will make with the support of the people with the same goals.”
