Real Betis boosts its international expansion in Japan with a ‘Betis Week’ in Tokyo

After Casablanca, Mexico City and Santiago de Chile, the Club travelled to the capital of the Asian country with the aim of promoting its brand in another of its strategic markets, where it carried out different actions and corporate events culminating in the signing of the collaboration agreement with Tokyo Verdy.

Seville, July 24, 2024. The Real Betis International area closed its season with the launch of the IV Real Betis Week of the 2023/24 campaign, which on this occasion took place in Tokyo. This project seeks to promote the brand in strategic markets with the launch of institutional, sporting and social actions and events.

 

In fact, the Club has been present this year in cities such as Casablanca (Morocco), Mexico City (Mexico) and Santiago (Chile), in addition to the institutional trip to Miami (United States) to participate in the Seville Fair in Cayo Vizcaíno and inaugurate a new academy for young players.

 

Already in Tokyo, Real Betis held various meetings with representatives of the J-League upon arrival to strengthen relations with the main Japanese football competition and its clubs. Rafael Muela, manager of the Foundation, participated in these, who explained the Forever Green project and its success stories.

 

The Betis delegation included Palmerín in its trip, who, for the first time, crossed the borders of Spain. The popular Real Betis mascot had the opportunity to walk through the streets of Tokyo, collaborated in the promotion of official clothing and was present at the meeting with the Betis Club 'Beticos Nippon'.

 

Precisely, these Japanese Betis fans were able to enjoy a corporate event organized by Real Betis together with Sevilla Turismo at the Dos Escenas Restaurant. This event was attended by local companies and media, as well as representatives of the J-League, with the former Real Betis Féminas goalkeeper Erina Yamane as a special guest.

 

In addition, the Betis fans enjoyed a digital meet and greet with Juan Miranda, a flamenco show and tasted the Andalusian food menu at the Dos Escenas Restaurant. Tourism, gastronomy, music and football once again go hand in hand to project the Real Betis, Sevilla and Andalusia brands together.

 

Real Betis Week in the Japanese capital ended with various institutional meetings with Tokyo Verdy, one of the historic clubs in Japanese football, and the meeting of both mascots. All this culminated in the recent signing of a collaboration agreement through which both entities will exchange knowledge and experience in different areas, collaborate to expand their respective brands in Japan and Spain and work on social and environmental actions through the Forever Green and Tokyo Green platforms.

Ramón Alarcón, CEO of Real Betis, highlighted the value of an agreement with a Club that has great historical weight in its country and that carries out strong social work. This new alliance is added to the one that Real Betis sealed last October with Raja Athletic Club, another entity of international relevance in another strategic market such as Morocco .
