Vadillo initiates the second phase of recovery at the Luis del Sol Training Centre
The apprentice has completed his rehabilitation at the Fremap Clinic and has commenced fitness training with Fran Molano
Yesterday, Álex Martínez's unfortunate injury took up all the news copy relating to Betis, but today there in no doubt that the featured player is Álvaro Vadillo. The winger from Puerto Real was the flip side of his teammate's mishap, who will be sidelined for six to seven months. Vadillo, who little by little has been feeling happier after he was injured on 31st July in Marbella, started training again this afternoon on the pitches at the Luis del Sol Training Centre. The apprentice, having completed the rehabilitation phase at the Fremap Clinic last Friday, started fitness training with Fran Molano. Ahead of him there a many individual training sessions and workouts in the gym, all aimed at recovering fitness and skills that have been affected by this long period of inactivity. Nevertheless, despite the fact he is still months away from training with the rest of the group and being able to compete with the team in an official match, his optimism invaded the session programmed by Julio Velázquez.
Cristiano Piccini is also getting a more positive attitude; today, he was able t do a run at a good pace and has done some work with the ball under the supervision of the medical staff. The Italian wing-back will train this week with Fran Molano so that next week he can do some alternative training and then, in two weeks, be back training with the rest of the group.
Molinero was also the bearer of good news, after abandoning last Saturday's match against FC Barcelona B due to slight concussion, as he was able to train normally today.
