Adán: "Betis deserves to play this kind of qualifying round"

The goalie from Madrid warned of the dangers of the team trained by Unai Emery in dead ball situations

The Betis goalkeeper accompanied Gabriel Humberto Calderón in his press conference this morning prior to the match against Sevilla FC, corresponding with the UEFA Europa League Round of 16. Adán responded to various questions highlighting the good form the green-and-white team were experiencing in the build up to this European match.

What do you expect from the round?: “It is a situation that both teams have deserved. Betis deserves to play this kind of qualifying round. We are very pleased to be able to play and more so given the circumstances of tomorrow's match”.

Sevilla FC's danger in set pieces: “We have been working on that all week. We have seen what they are capable of and their strengths. We know that have a great player for this type of play, Rakitic. They are extremely good in dead ball situations and they score a lot off them. We should continue working in the way we have in the last few matches in which we have conceded very few goals off set pieces”.

Bacca and Gameiro: “They are not the only ones we have to be wary of, we know we are going to play a very strong team which has offensive players that bring great stability to the team and who are very good. We bear them in mind but we are more focussed on ourselves. We have to be intense and strong in defence. If we manage to do that it doesn't make what players we have against us”.
