Jesús Mosquera: “The Second Division B is a difficult category, but we are prepared for it and we will demonstrate that”

Jesús Mosquera left the Málaga FC reserves to join the Betis B squad a few weeks ago. The centre-back from Fuengirola spoke to the official Club press and made no attempt to hide his enthusiasm about the Second division B league competition which is getting closer every day. He described the category as "difficult and challenging", but he insists that they are "prepared" for it, and they intend to demonstrate that fact "match by match".

Joining the Heliopolitan reserves: “Real Betis is a great team, the club has a lot of history and I found the opportunity to play in the Second Division B with Betis B very appealing. “My main objective is to repay the confidence placed in me and try to secure a place on the reserves team".

Assessment of the pre-season: “I am very happy to be starting a new phase here. We are putting in two training sessions on most days with high intensity, with lots of ball work and friendly matches to settle into a rhythm before the start of the competition”.

Training sessions: “We are going to learn a lot with Juan Merino and Capi. We are very happy with them. They are trying to instil in us an attitude of sacrifice, hard work and team spirit. Basically, the aim is to form a really tight-knit group”.

A good atmosphere in the dressing room: “My team mates have made me feel really at home. I already knew some of the players from previous matches in lower categories. I think the group is very strong and united. Every day we are really striving to improve”.

The league competition: “We will take it step by step. We are really excited about competing to the best of our abilities in the Second Division B. This category is difficult and challenging, but I think that we are prepared for it and we will demonstrate that match by match”.

Characteristics: “I consider that my best quality is that I am a team player. I have always been lucky in that I always get on well with my team mates and that helps me develop friendships with everyone in a very natural way”.
