Injury Prevention, was the objective of a new session as part of the Residency Training Programme

The Integrated Training Program for players at the Heliopolis Residence held a new session this Wednesday. With the usual double session format, this time the youngsters received a didactic lecture on injury prevention given by the Real Betis Balompié physiotherapists, Pablo Rodríguez and Raúl Cabello. This talk underlined the importance of the attitude of each individual footballer and the work they do on a daily basis as key factors in injury prevention. Furthermore, and amongst other issues, there was a discussion about common ailments in a footballer's career in addition to those factors that can reduce the risks.

As you may recall, the Training Programme for Club's Academy Residence aims to influence one of the fundamental objectives of the Academy, integral player development, in addition to providing for their needs that may arise from them being away from their homes. This initiative is organised by the Academy management and Real Betis Balompié Health Services, who have named Juan Doforno, social worker and one of the tutors at the Heliopolis Residence, and Macarena Lorenzo, head of the Real Betis educational psychology unit, to head up the programme.
