Joaquín: “We have many things to fix”
Joaquín has spoken for the media after the game against SD Eibar.
Match analysis: “Nobody expected this score. Two isolated okays and they were 2-0 already. The game was under control but they took advantage of their resources and we weren’t focused enough. We had worked hard on set and aerial plays. Then, the third goal was a punishment we didn’t deserve because the foul was outside the box. The ref said it was a penalty, we lose one man, 3-0 and then everything is nearly impossible. We didn’t live up to it. We have to think, among all the bad things, that we’re still there. We have another important game on Saturday, we have to start over and know that we have to win at home and be an aggressive team that competes, that gives few options.”
One point in the last three games: “When the team doesn’t win and loses in such a hard way, you must worry in the sense that we are in a bad streak but there’s no need to be alarmed because we’re still there. We were doing great but lately we haven’t been that strong, aggressive, resourceful team. We have to be smart. This is the playing philosophy we had in mind from the beginning. You can lose, but we have many things to fix because we are conceding many goals in the last few games and that may pay a heavy price.”
