Juan Miranda signs with Real Betis until 2024
Juan Miranda has joined Real Betis Balompié on a permanent deal following an agreement with FC Barcelona. The international player has signed a contract until 2024. The Catalan club keeps a percentage of a future transfer of the player.
Juan Miranda (Olivares, Seville, 19th of January of 1990) began his career playing in his hometown team. His outstanding performances drew the attention of Real Betis, that signed him for his Youth Teams. He stayed for six years before joining FC Barcelona.
He joined FC Barcelona in 2014 to play in the academy. There, Miranda climbed through the youth teams until he made his debut with the first team in 2018 in a Copa del Rey match. He also played in the UEFA Champions League that year and won the UEFA Youth League.
Miranda played the 2019/2020 season on loan to Schalke 04.
In the 2020/2021 season, Miranda played at Real Betis on loan. With the green and White side, Miranda played 25 official games, scored two goals and provided two assists. He has been crucial in qualifying the team for the next edition of the UEFA Europa League.
He has been capped with Spain U16, U17, U18, U19 and U 21. He became European champion U17 in 2017 and U19 in 2019. As a curiosity, Miranda is the youngest player ever to play with Spain U16, as he made his debut aged just 14.
