MATCH REPORT | Defeat in Glasgow (3-2)

Real Betis Balompié got defeated tonight in the last game of the UEFA Europa League group stage against Celtic FC. In a crazy game, the team did not deserve to lose.
Bad start for the lads in the fame, as the local side took the lead in a corner-kick after just three minutes. Betis were not feeling comfortable in the initial minutes, not having it easy to create chances. Step by step, the Green and Whites, today dressed in blue, sated to attack and control the game.
In the first half, Betis had loads of chance to tie the game up. First, it was Lainez who missed the goal by not much. Then, Joaquín smashed the ball into the keeper following a cross. Carvalho produced a great shot minutes after, but the ball went just wide. The best of them all, though, came just before half time, with a shot by Paul that hit the post.
The second half began with Celtic pushing forward, but was Betis who created more danger. Tello and Joaquín gave two early warnings. Until ten absolutely crazy minutes came.
The team managed to level the score up with an own goal by Bain after a great effort from Iglesias. Henderson gave the Scots the lead again soon afterwards. Two minutes later, Borja Iglesias did find the net this time. And two minutes after, Turnbull scored from the spot, although the foul seemed to had been outside the box.
Betis looked for another goal nonstop until the end, with several chances. The best of them all was a header by Juanmi that hit the crossbar.
The team lost in Glasgow, but the team will play in the next round of the UEFA Europa League, having qualified in the previous game.
