MATCH REPORT | One point each (1-1)

Real Betis couldn't get more than a point tonight against SD Eibar. The team began trailing in the first half when SD Eibar scored in a penalty. The team improved in the second half and tied up the score. The Green and Whites kept trying until the end but it couldn't be.

The match began with Betis trying to control the game and build from the back. On the other end, Eibar preferred to send long goals and look for chances in second plays.  The first chance was for Álex Moreno, who received a good pass from Loren but sent his effort to the side netting. A few minutes later, Dmitrovic made a great save to deny Loren. The next one was a goal, but it was disallowed because the ball had gone out just before.

Bad news arrived just after the first half an hour when the referee whistled for penalty for an action made by Canales. Orellana scored. Just before half time, Borja Iglesias made a good personal play but missed the target by millimeters.

The first chance of the second half was for Loren after a good personal play but his shot went wide. Finally, Betis scored through Loren, but the goal was disallowed for offside. After a long revision in the VAR, the goal was considered valid. The team wanted more and kept pushing. Mandi headed over the bar a cross delivered by Canales.

In the added time, Iglesias scored, but he was offside and the goal did not stand.
