MATCH REPORT | Real Betis begins the preseason with a win (1-0)

Real Betis Balompié got a victory in the first game of the preseason. In the first test with Manuel Pellegrini in the bench, the Green and Whites beat Cadiz CF, recently promoted to Laliga.

As minutes went by, Betis got the control of the ball and started to approach the rivals' goal. A spectacular play by Joaquín that ended with a shot by Tello and a good effort from Canales were the best chances in the first half. Also, the team was really tidy and organized in defence, and Cadiz did not shoot on goal in the whole first half.

The second half was quite similar, but the game began to open up step by step, but always in Betis' control. Canales had the first with a good shot from outside the box that the keeper deflected wide. Borja Iglesias got really close to scoring a few minutes later.

The goal came three minutes before end, with a free kick delivered by Lainez that Juanki samshed in the far post.
