MATCH REPORT | Three fantastic points (2-1)

Real Betis Balompié got tonight an important victory against RCD Mallorca.  The team took the lead in the first half through Álex Moreno. Muriqi tied the game in the second half, but Willian José, from the penalty spot, gave the three points to the Green and Whites.
In the first half, Betis came on trying to attack from the kick-off. Mallorca, on the other end were waiting with their lines very close together and trying to counterattack. The first clear chance of the game was for Álex Moreno, whose shot hit the post. Muriqi replied soon afterwards hitting the post as well.
A few minutes later, Álex Moreno did find the back of the net this time following a great assist from Canales. The number 10, who reappeared today after overcoming the coronavirus, almost doubled the lead with a great shot rom outside the box that Rico deflected wide.
After the break, the game got more even on the pitch. Mallorca were a bit more accurate and both teams were now fighting for control. 15 minutes before the end, the away side tied the score with a header from Muriqi.
However, just six minutes later, a shot from Carvalho was blocked by Battaglia with his hand. The referee did not whistle, but was told by the VAR to check the screen. After reviewing the play, Soto Grado changed his decision. Willian José took the responsibility and did not miss, giving the team three great points.
