The main anecdote before the game was that today, for the first time ever, Real Betis were the visitors at Benito Villamarín Stadium.
Once in the game, Betis had a chance early on after a good team play that ended with a cross from Barragán that Tello couldn't finish in the far post. In the 25th minute, a good play between Kaptoum and Borja Iglesias. The latter produced a phenomenal pass and the Cameroonian finished it with a good curled effort.
