Real Betis Balompié beat UCAM Murcia CF tonight in the first round of Copa del Rey. The team was superior to a rival that fought well. The goals scored by Montoya, just before half time, and Guido Rodríguez, in the second half, certified the win.

Betis controlled the game from the very start, but UCAM had a few good chances in quick counterattacks. However, Betis certified their dominion with a goal from Montoya one minute before half time.

The second half went underway with two changes for the Green and Whites. The team started to have an even bigger control of the match. Also, the players looked more focused on defense and barely conceded chances. The second and final goal came in the 74th minute with a header by Guido Rodríguez in a corner-kick.
