Molinero: “We think about Santander, nothing else”
Going for more. The season Molinero is completing with Real Betis can be highlighted that way. The right back is finishing the season in great shape and as one of the player with more assists in the team. The defender sees the goal getting closer, but he doesn’t want any kind of relaxation. “It’s closer but we haven’t achieved it yet so we have to go on. There are three points at stake on Thursday and we think about Santander, nothing else. I think we have a difficult match ahead, and we can’t go off the path we have been following. We must focus on getting the three points and let’s see what happens then,” he stated.
The match: “We knew that it was going to be hard, that they wouldn’t give us anything. Also the high temperature also played its part, it’s really hard. We knew they like to have ball possession, and we tried to put up pressure and counterattack, like we did in the first goal. We started much better off in the second half, and with the third and fourth goals, just minutes apart, the match was over. It was really hot and both teams played with less intensity then. We have to go on.”
At a personal level: “I do my job and what I’m supposed to do, till the end. I’m happy because the team won. Scoring is an added joy but what I want is Betis to win. I’m trying to add, always. If Betis wins, that’s what matters, in spite of scoring goals or giving assists. I do my job, that’s why I came here. It’s a happy moment but we’ve got to get back to work.”
