N'Diaye is with Betis: "I want to help Real Betis to stay in the division where they belong"

Alfred N’Diaye is now officially a Real Betis player. International player has come on loan from Sunderland for the remainder of the season with an option to purchase. This afternoon he will train under the orders of Gabi Calderón. Although negotiations came to a finish on Wednesday, the contracts were not able to be signed until now. It was not a question of having the quota of registered players (N'Diaye will take Steinhöfer's place) but because of the delay in receiving the paperwork terminating the loan agreement from Eskisenhispor.

It is hoped that he will bring the Club height and physical qualities. The African is a versatile player too who can play as a defensive centre half and fullback. The twenty-three-year-old N'Diaye is 1'87 cm tall and has plenty of experience playing top level football. He has played in the French, Turkish and English leagues and, despite his youth, has accumulated almost 200 matches on his professional record.

He was trained and revered at AS Nancy in France; then in 2011 he moved to Bursaspor in Turkey until he was signed by Sunderland in January 2013. After playing the second round in the Premier League he was loaned out to Eskisehispor last summer. There he has become one of the star players, to the extent that to this day he still has more league goals to his name than any of his team mates, three goals despite his position. For personal reasons he wanted a change of scenery and once his contract in Turkey was terminated the loan to Real Betis by the Sunderland was complete.

The Franco-Senegalese player acknowledges that just his arrival in Seville confirmed the impression he already had about his new club: "Before I came I knew that this was a great club and yesterday at the clinic where I underwent medical tests I was impressed by the number of fans the club moves. They all wanted to encourage me. I came because, despite the delicate situation the club is in, Real Betis is a First Division team and I want to help so that the team can stay in the division where they belong. I am looking forward to getting to work with my new team mates". N'Diaye is Parisian and although he has been Under-21 international with France he currently plays with the Senegal national team.
