Perquis returns to training; Alexis watches the session
Real Betis Balompié's new technical secretary, Alexis Trujillo, has started work in the offices at the Benito Villamarín Stadium. The Canarian, who arrived in Seville yesterday, witnessed the first team's training session this morning thus establishing his first contact with the manager Gabriel Humberto Calderón who he spoke to for a few minutes on the pitch. At the end of the session, the former Real Betis midfielder met with the team in the changing room. Alexis, who is responsible for sport planning for next season until the new director of football comes on board, will spend these first few days designing the route map that will guide Betis through the 2014/15 season, a season in which every effort will be made to get the team back into the top tier of Spanish football. On Wednesday the former Betis player introduced himself to members of the Technical Secretariat and other employees of the Club.
On the pitch there were no major differences with yesterday's training session which was the first of the week. Damien Perquis, who was absent on Wednesday with the club's permission, trained today with Calderón in preparation for the forthcoming match. However, he was not able to count on the participation of Jorge Molina, Nono, Amaya, Nacho and Dídac. All these players worked with the physiotherapist, Fran Molano, at the Luis del Sol Training Centre; to cover these absences the Argentine coach continued to work with the apprentices Pozo, Braganza, Pibe, Dani Ceballos and Pedro López, with the addition of José Carlos for today's session.
