Poyet: “This is what I want to see in many aspects; we were much better on the ball today”
Just after finishing the game at Mestalla Stadium, Real Betis head coach, Gustavo Poyet, made a press conference to analyse the game
Score: “Right now it’s what matters. Until the scored the first we were better, in control, all in our favour. A good first half, many chances, ahead in the score, the sent-off. All in our favour. What happened later is to be analysed carefully, we need to learn. If it had finished 2-2, I’d be very upset because you can give any presents in LaLiga and, disgracefully, we almost threw it away. Fortunately, we have Rubén.”
Brasanac: “Since he arrived he has settled very well into the team. He also played in the game when we were better. If is debut had been in a game in which we played very bad, it’s more difficult. Everyone’s performance helped Darko, but he looks like he’s been in the team for a long time.”
First 70 minutes: “This is what I want to see in many aspects; we were much better today on the ball. I have to say something in Valencia’s favour. With all respect to Las Palmas and Eibar, I don’t think Valencia deserved to lose the first two games. I specially liked the way they played here against Las Palmas. The game went well for us, having chances. We kept the system I want to play, thanks to Joaquín and Rubén, they worked very hard today. We are getting closer to what we want.”
Fabián: “I’m worried because he’s young, enthusiastic. He gives us a lot of balance. It’s always worrying when a player gets injured. Let’s hope it’s nothing serious.”
