The first training session for Kadir under the command of Julio Velázquez

The Real Betis Balompié first team were back training today after their victory in their second fixture in the 'Liga' Adelante (the second division) against CD Numancia (2-1). In order to start preparation for the forthcoming match against SD Ponferradina, Julio Velázquez and his coaching staff prepared a very physical training session. In this way the technical staff continue to adjust the competitive rhythm of the team during the first few weeks of the competition.

Now that the transfer window has closed, the coach from Salamanca was able to count on the latest newcomer to the green-and-white Club, Foued Kadir. The Franco-Algerian midfielder, who has come on loan from Olympique Marseille, exercised this morning with his teammates after signing the contract that binds him to the Betis discipline yesterday. With Kadir starting to show signs of his skills in the exercises scheduled by the physical trainer, Luis Arnau, those fans present were able to confirm once again the tremendous commitment all players have with the objective of regaining promotion to the First Division, as in every exercise the aggression and constant pressure required by Velázquez were noticeable.

Fortunately, there was no incident leading to injury to lament. The only absentees were Álex Martínez, N'Diaye and Xavi Torres. In the case of the left wing-back, he was not able to train with the rest of the group because of the sprain in his left knee which occurred in last Sunday's match, meanwhile N'Diayeis with the Senegalese team at a training camp in preparation for their forthcoming matches. For his part, Xavi Torres trained in the gym.
