Real Betis and Leeds United agree on the transfer of Diego Llorente
Real Betis Balompié and Leeds United have reached an agreement for the transfer of Diego Llorente. The new Betis player signs a contract until 2028.
Diego Llorente Ríos (Madrid, August 16, 1993) began his professional career as a footballer in the lower categories of Real Madrid, a team with which he would make his debut in the First Division in the 2012/13 season.
The new Betis player has extensive experience in the Spanish top flight, where he has exceeded one hundred matches in the years in which he played for Real Madrid, Rayo Vallecano, Málaga CF and Real Sociedad.
His great performance made him make the jump to the Premier League with Leeds United in 2020, remaining there for three seasons.
The last two seasons he has played for AS Roma, participating in 54 games and playing in the Europa League.
Llorente has also played for the Spanish national team, making ten appearances in total.
