Real Betis received the visit of a group of young Japanese players affected by the tsunami in 2011

Real Betis and its Foundation hosted a group of young Japanese players who were affected by the tsunami that hit the Asian country in 2001. They are visiting Spain thanks to the initiative undertaken by the Spanish-Japanese Chamber of Commerce and the Spanish-Japanese Friendly Association Hasekura, located in Coria del Río (Seville).
All these youngsters, who belong to club Cobaltore Onagawa FC, one of the most seriously affected by this terrible event, were accompanied at Benito Villamarín Stadium by the President of the Real Betis Balompié Foundation, Rafael Gordillo; the director of the Real Betis Football School, Gabriel Calderón; and the Japanese international goalkeeper of Real Betis Women, Erina Yamane.
The players visited the Club's facilities, learnt the institution's history, and received several gifts from the Club and the Foundation. Later, they went to Luis del Sol Training Centre, where they made a training session along some Real Betis Academy coaches and Erina Yamane herself.
