Real Betis strengthens its international expansion with the first 'Betis Week' in Morocco

Real Betis Balompié held in October the first edition of the Betis Week in Morocco. A series of events developed in Casablanca and aimed to promote the Club's brand in the African country, where football fans have shown a growing interest in Real Betis, thanks to the good sporting performance in recent seasons and the arrival of players such as Ez Abde and Chadi Riad.
The 1st Betis Week in Morocco began with the signing of a collaboration agreement with Raja Athletic Club, one of the most important clubs in the country and the entire African continent. This alliance comprehends different initiatives at sporting, educational and social level.
In fact, both clubs kickstarted Real Betis Camp Casablanca, in which more than 100 children aged between 8 and 12 years-old. Staff from both clubs and Real Betis Academy coaches went to the Moroccan city to contribute in developing young talent and the growth of football in the region.
Real Betis also held meetings with Moroccan institutions, media, and companies. In said meetings, the Club presented its international expansion plan. During the Betis Week, a series of special promotions were made through relevant media, with exclusive prizes related to players Ez Abde and Chadi Riad.
Additionally, Real Betis organised a viewing of the game Real Betis vs Club Atletico Osasuna, with more than 150 attendants, connecting Moroccan football fans with Béticos who live in the region.  Also, the Club undertook a social action with boys and girls in risk of exclusion alongside a local NGO.
Borja Tobar, in charge of Real Betis International Expansion, assessed positively this first immersion in the country: "Our vision is clear. We want to take Real Betis values all around the world and Morocco is, without a doubt, a very important market for us. We are a club with a lot to offer and many stories to share. We are pleased with this visit and to be able to share our passion for football and our team with the Moroccan people.  We want to build a global Betis community, strengthen our bond with fans and institutions in Morocco."
This week of events in Morocco is the first the Club will develop in the current 2023/2024 season. More events in Mexico, Chile or United States will take place soon.
