Setién: “We have to keep having confidence in this team”

Quique Setién has addressed the media at Anoeta Stadium after the match.

Match analysis: "The assessment is quite positive because this is a strong rival that always put us under pressure. The truth is we also do the same to them. They play well, have several resources and powerful players. The matches against them have always been quite even and open. There were some moments when we were in control and they were in others. We have done a bit more than them in the whole round to get through. I wasn't easy at all, though. I give this qualification a lot of credit because we came here really short in number of players. Some of the players had not played in a long time, some others with too many minutes and the game was not easy. I congratulate my players because they did a tremendous effort and, also, we played really well at certain moments".

Red card for Lo Celso: "I'm really upset. I was telling the assistant referee that was not the change, that it was Loren because he was injured. I told him with time enough to change it and he didn't want to. I don't understand it because as long as the players does not leave the pitch, there's time to change it. And the substitution was not done yet. Loren got injured in that play and I asked him to change it. And he didn't listen. I don't understand he sent him off because I was telling Lo Celso to not come off. Lo Celso told the referee and he snubbed him. I would like an explanation. I can understand they make mistakes but this is something else. I don't understand it."

The team is still alive in all three competitions: "This team keeps growing step by step. We are moving forward, but maybe not in short term because accidents always happen. If we look with a bit of perspective, we need to keep having confidence in this team and these players. I think it's quite good what we did, coming to such a difficult stadium and short of players and do what we did. We weren't good at Huesca but we have to have perspective and keep trusting this team, regardless of those moments in which we don0t perform well enough. I've never lost faith in this team and players."
