Setién: “We have to take the second leg seriously”

Quique Setién addressed the media at RCDE Stadium after the first leg of the Copa del Rey quarter-finals.

Match analysis: "We made some mistakes in the first half. They created more danger; the goal came and we were a bit untidy. That provoked that we lost some balls. We controlled the rest of the game well. We had many options to score. We were clearly superior in the second half. We had the possession until the final minutes, when they pushed a bit more. I think it's a good result for us but we could have done more."

Advantage in the round: "It's better to get 1-1 than 1.0 but I said it before the game, the round was not going to be decided in this match. Espanyol have assets to make it difficult here and in our stadium. It will be an even game, maybe we'll have more control. The round is open. We have to take the second round very seriously, trying to do what we know how to do. We have a league game first and we'll try to get back, which is really important for us, some players we did not have today. We had four players from the B team on the bench today. I hope some of the players out can be back for the second leg."

Lainez is leaving Good details: "That's why we signed him. He has very good potential. He's in an adaptation process but you can see he has something when he gets the ball. Hopefully he can show everything he has and can help us be up there and get points."

Second leg: "A hypothetical 0-0 would be enough. The thing is we don't know how to play just to defend. When we try, it does not come out well. We had that phase today at he end when we were focused in defence and it's when they created more danger. Scoring a goal could be decisive. The rival has to score- They won't probably be as much focused on defence as they were today."
