Setién: “We’ll try to put on a decent performance and live up to our expectations”
Quique Setién has spoken for the Club’s official media after knowing the draw of the UEFA Europa League.
Draw: “There were really strong teams in any of the other groups. It’s true that AC Milan impresses for their history, their Champions League, for being the huge team they’ve always been, the players they had. It’s a big motivation for us to face them. We did last year in the preseason. We did well against them. It will certainly be a very interesting and attractive game. We know Olympiacos a bit less, but they are an historic European team. They are usually playing Champions League, always in top-level European competitions. They are a rival that always put their rivals under pressure in their stadium and it will be a beautiful game to play. Then, the other team, Dudelange from Luxemburg, we don’t know much about them. We’ll have to study them to see their weak points. We’ll try to put on a decent performance and live up to our expectations.”
Game at San Siro: “Of course. I’ve watched games there, but never had the chance to play there. It’s a wonderful stadium. It’s going to be a spectacular memory, obviously. We’ll be very excited when it comes. We’ll try to win it, but just the fact of playing that game is going to be great.”
Target in the competition: “We’ll try to beat these teams in order to go through the next stage, of course. We all know how difficult this will be. There are two historic teams with a lot of European experience, something we lack. We’ll try to make it up with excitement, with our football. Everyone has a difficult time to win and these games are not going to be less. If they want to beat us, they’ll have to work.”
