Seville, June 22nd 2023. Real Betis Academy, the national and international sports project of the green and white club, has grown 110% beyond the club's borders during the last season, doubling the number of academies and campuses developed throughout the world.
Real Betis Academy is the model soccer academy of Real Betis Balompié directed at boys, girls, and national and international trainers whose principal objective is the integral formation of the players and their techniques. This model attempts to extend the Real Betis Balompié brand to a national and international level and transmit the philosophy and values of the club and foundation to a world level.
Through this international strategy, Real Betis has continued to grow during the last season, counting a total of 23 sports projects outside of the borders of the club at the season's conclusion. The entity has continued to stay active in their academies located in Zimbabwe, Baghdad, Mexico City, Algeria, Arizona, Tbilisi, and El Salvador, and has inaugurated fixed sites in the Arabic world with the startup of academies in Dohuk and Jordan. Additionally, Real Betis has premiered in Caracas and Querétaro and soon will announce two new international green and white academies.
Additionally, they have put into campuses into action in locations such as El Cairo, Caracas, the city of Cabo, and for the first time they have arrived to United States, carrying out the programs Real Betis Florida Tour and Real Betis Rocky Mountains in cities like Jacksonville, Wichita, Denver, Salt Lake City, and New York. Furthermore, the green and white club amplified their presence in Japan with the celebration of a successful campus this past December, in which 40 local soccer players participated.
During the season they continued to put the program Inside Real Betis into action, a program that offers international soccer players a unique experience from inside the club, where the players enjoy high quality training and activities while living the day to day life of Real Betis in their installations. During the season 15 Japanese soccer players have enjoyed this program - two of them in the cantera teams - with a total of 77 players participating from the academies of Algeria, Baghdad, and Zimbabwe.
Real Betis Team Alliance has become one of the projects premiered this last season. Through this project, the Club establishes alliances with other international teams to teach their trainers and players under the methodology of the green and white club. This program has premiered this season, receiving 108 players and trainers in Inter Ohana CF, a Hawaiian team.
Another program that Real Betis has returned to celebrate this season has been the formation of international trainers, who undergo a program centered on offering technical development under the methodology of the Club. This program is offered to aspiring technicians from all the world. Through this project, 7 Iraqi trainers have received theoretical and practical training imparted by the premiere level technicians of Real Betis. During their stay in Seville, they have the opportunity to step on the grass of the sports installations of the club to put their training into practice, and enjoy the VIP experience.
The international projects have created great economic growth and opportunity for the club, and have spread the green and white colors throughout the world to more than 3,000 soccer players and have exceeded more than 200 trainers.
In the past year, Real Betis Balompié was recognized as the LaLiga soccer brand that grew the most in the past year, according to a prestigious study from Brand Finance. One of the reasons the club was able to demonstrate this extreme growth has been through the consolidation of the sports project Real Betis Academy.
In the national breakdown of the Betis Academy, there's the Betis School, the mother project of the national and international soccer developments, that counts eleven years of history and that developed 170 during the season. Real Betis has also created academies in municipalities in the provinces of Seville, Almería, Córdoba and Huelva, with campuses in 13 localities, adding a total of 1,215 green and white players in our country.
All of the soccer players that make up a part of the Real Betis Academy project have the opportunity by part of the club to be recruited by the cantera of Real Betis Balompié. This is an ambitious project that looks to continue growing and extending the methodology and the values of Real Betis Balompié for all the world.
