Vadillo has a serious knee sprain and a bone edema

Tests have confirmed the severity of the injury that occurred Álvaro Vadillo at the Municipal Stadium in Marbella. The winger has undergone an MRI which has revealed he has a grade II-II sprain in the medial collateral ligament and grade II-III sprain in the anterior cruciate ligament and a fracture of the condyle and intraparenchymal external plateau in his left knee.

Specifically, it is the bone injury and the sprained medial collateral ligament that will condition the recovery process. Initially, Vadillo will be immobilised for three to five weeks. Once these conditions have been healed the player will undergo surgery to operate on the ACL. Thus, the estimated period for recovery is estimated to be between six and seven months.

Vadillo has been the victim of bad luck, as that the injury was caused by an awkward movement in his left knee. Doctor Santiago Pérez Hidalgo, who attended the player at the Fremap Clinic, will perform the operation, just as he did with the players right knee. During the morning Álvaro Vadillo was accompanied by his family and the president of Real Betis, Manuel Domínguez Platas.
