Velázquez: "Our idea is to go out and win, it's always the same"

The Green-and-white manager held a press conference prior to Real Betis's match on Sunday. Velázquez highlighted the qualities of their rival and the difficulties presented by the match at El Sadar Stadium. “They are a good team with a lot of potential. It is going to be a tough on but we are going to try to focus on ourselves and maintain a winning streak after our victory the other day. We will try to maintain the defensive and offensive balance. We are going to make the trip to play a good match, be competitive and win. Our idea is to go out and win, and that is what we have been trying to do since the start of the league. It's always the same”.

The three points we got against Recreativo de Huelva has made training easier for the team this week. Not only did they come away with three points but they have gained confidence. “When you win everything is more positive and the team, from a morale point of view, are stronger. We have trained as normal and we are pleased and happy. More than anything else we want to continue winning”.

Velázquez gave his evaluation of the players who are still suffering discomfort and Dani Ceballos's absence from training today. “Rennella is fine, so is Matilla who had a knock on his ankle but he has come along well; neither of them will have any problems. Dani did not have a good night, when he arrived he was vomiting. We shall have to see how he gets on today and what he's like tomorrow. Initially, it seems there should be a problem but we shall know more tomorrow”.

N´Diaye: “He has been in an unusual situation, with an atypical preseason. He has not had hardly any continuity with us because when you play for you national team, in the Second Division, you miss a lot of matches and training sessions and he has not been able to be on optimal form. Now he is better. In terms of coming to voluntary sessions, like any other players, the players who are receiving treatment or need other measures have to come, but there is always the option for the others to come voluntarily. He, like others, has come to these sessions and that gesture highlights his commitment. All my players deserve my respect equally and I am really pleased with Alfred”.

The support of the players: "I am really grateful for what they have done for me, I am delighted with their response. We are continuing to improve and advancing as a team, improving our game. The other day we saw different qualities in the team. The team is training well; they want to make, and are making, advances so that the fans feel prouder about what they are doing on the field of play”.

CA Osasuna: “They have a very good squad and they are set on getting promotion. Their performance in the league denotes the complexity of this category. The team has good potential and many variables, they are going to be under pressure because they really have to beat us. I have not had the pleasure of meeting their manager be he deserves the greatest of respects. We are going to try to continue improving, growing and winning matches so that the fans feel proud of their team”.

Continuity in the starting eleven: “We have until tomorrow to see how the players are getting on, there is doubt as to the availability of Dani. Other than that the idea is to keep moving on. We are always trying to improve and maintain the balance, so we can have ever greater association between the players”.

Get into a good rhythm: “If we get a good result that would be marvellous and great for morale. The team is convinced of it and if we get into a good rhythm it will be extremely positive both for the team and the fans. We hope to get a good result at a difficult ground, we are optimistic and positive”.
