Víctor Ruiz, new Real Betis player
Real Betis Balompié has signed defender Víctor Ruiz. The centre back becomes the third signing of the team for the 2020/2021 season.
Víctor Ruiz Torre (San Feliú de Llobregat, Spain, 25 of January of 1989) began his career in the youth teams at RCD Espanyol. He made his debut with the first team in 2009. In January of 2011, he signed for SSC Napoli. A few months later, in August of the same year, he was transferred to Valencia CF, where he spent three seasons. In summer of 2014, he moved to Villarreal CF, where he became one of the key defenders in the five seasons he spent there. In summer of 2019, he signed for Besiktas JK.
At international level, the new Real Betis player has been capped with Spain U17, U19 and U21. In 2011, Ruiz became European champion with Spain U21.
In total, Victor Ruiz has played 353 in top-flight football, scoring eight goals and providing eight assists.
