eal Betis Balompié and Fluminense FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of Facundo Bernal. 

The Uruguayan midfielder becomes the first Verdiblanco signing of this transfer window and signs a contract until 2031. 

Born in Montevideo on 21 August 2003, Facundo Bernal began his career at Defensor Sporting, where he made his professional debut in 2021 and won the Copa AUF Uruguay in both 2022 and 2023. After four seasons with the Montevideo-based club, he joined Fluminense FC, where he has spent the last three seasons.

Bernal has also been a regular for Uruguay at youth level and made his senior international debut in May 2024.
