Real Betis Balompié is pleased to announce that the Club has reached an agreement with Ángel Ortiz to extend his contract until 2029. The Extremaduran defender will officially join the first team squad at the start of preseason.

Ángel Ortiz (Almendralejo, July 25, 2004) joined the Real Betis youth academy in the summer of 2017, beginning with the U14 A team. Over the years, he has developed through the Club's youth system, winning Group 4 of the División de Honor Juvenil on two occasions and reaching the final of the Champions Cup. His promising performances have earned him international call-ups with Spain's U18 and U19 national teams.

Ortiz made his official first-team debut on January 25th in the LaLiga match against RCD Mallorca. During the 2024/25 season, he made five league appearances and registered one assist.
