A winning return to the Champions League (2–3)

Real Betis made a comeback thanks to the goals from Marc Bartra and Troy Parrott

Real Betis Balompié returned to the Champions League with a 2-3 victory over Lille, coming from behind in an entertaining encounter in France.

The Verdiblancos made a positive start to the game, but Ueda opened the scoring for the hosts with a header.

Manuel Pellegrini's side responded through Marc Bartra, who levelled the score in the 32nd minute. However, Alexsandro restored Lille's lead just three minutes later.

After the break, Real Betis produced their best football of the night. Bartra struck again to make it 2?2 before Troy Parrott completed the comeback in the 53rd minute, sending all three points back to Seville.
