William Carvalho underwent surgery today for the rupture of his right Achilles tendon in Barcelona. 

The procedure was completed without complications, and the player will need to remain immobilized for the first few weeks before beginning his rehabilitation phase. 

The recovery time will depend on the progress of the healing process.
