About the contract renewal of Dani Ceballos, Real Betis Sports Director said that “he wants to stay with us, we’re working to make it possible” Real Betis Sports Director, Eduardo Macià, answered several questions about the Club in an event of the Club with one of the fan groups. “I’m very excited to be here today and share experiences with the fans. You make Betis special. I’m thrilled, thank you for inviting me here”, explained. Macià explained how his first months in Seville have been. “I’m in a wonderful city. Seville has many things in common with Valencia, the people is quite open here. I’m satisfied, this is an extraordinary experience”, he stated. When he was asked about how the negotiations for the contract renewal of Dani Ceballos, Macià pointed out the good feelings he has about it. “He is a great footballer, a young lad that is starting in this strange world that football is. He really wants to stay with us and we are working to make it possible. I have to be cautious, but I have a positive feeling. We are trying to bring together Ceballos’ wish and the Club’s. He feels great here, with his family, friends and the teammates he has. He has the right environment to keep growing as a player. He’s got a great potential, and it’s our responsibility to make him even better”, explained. Finally, Macià also talked about the possibility of going into the winter market. “I always speak up in front of the media. I have self-criticism. There’s no problem for me to accept things the way they are. Our planning wasn’t perfect, we are happy with it but we can improve. Since the very moment when the transfer window closed down, we need to be one step ahead of the team, thinking about the future, both in short and long terms. We have a large number of players in the squad. That wasn’t planned that way. The technical staff is managing the situation quite well. They are great professionals and are doing an amazing job to make a positive outcome of the situation. We can improve and we’ll do it in the following months.”
