Sokratis Papastathopoulos, new Real Betis player

The Greek defender signs until 2024

Real Betis Balompié have signed Sokratis Papastathopoulos. The Greek footballer arrives as a free agent to strengthen the Green and White defence.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos (Kalamata, Greece, 9th of June of 1988) began his career at AEK Athens, where he made his debut in the top division and Champions League in the 2006/2007 season.

The new Green and White footballer has played in big European clubs, such as Genoa CFC, AC Milan, SV Werder Bremen, BV Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal FC and Olympiakos FC.

Papastathopoulos has a wide experience at international level. He has won 90 caps with Greece and played in two World Cups.
