The fullback agreed to adjust his salary to the current situation proving his commitment with the project to get the team back in to the First Division: "Betis has to get back to where it belongs and I want to be one of the ones who write that page in history".
The new Real Betis manager, Julio Velázquez, has given his valuation of the first ten days of the preseason during which the daily work schedule was completed with three friendly matches at San Pedro del Pinatar, against Brighton, Cartagena and Elche.
