Isco extends his contract with Real Betis

The Andalusian midfielder will remain a Verdiblanco until 2028

Real Betis Balompié and Francisco Román Alarcón Suárez 'Isco' have reached an agreement to extend the player's contract. As a result, the Málaga-born footballer will remain with the Club until June 2028.

Isco (Benalmádena, Spain, 21 April 1992) joined Real Betis in the summer of 2023. His outstanding performances on the pitch, together with his exemplary conduct off it, have made him one of the key figures within the squad, of which he also serves as first captain.

Since his arrival at Real Betis Balompié, Isco has made 69 official appearances, scoring 21 goals and providing 18 assists across two seasons in which the team secured consecutive European qualifications and reached the first European final in the Club's history.

The midfielder's excellent form did not go unnoticed by the national team, who recalled him last June after a six-year absence.
