Real Betis and Manchester United agree on Antony's loan

Loan until the end of the season

Real Betis Balompié and Manchester United have agreed on Antony's loan for the current season. 

Antony Matheus dos Santos (Sao Paulo, Brazil, 24/02/2000) began his professional career as a footballer at Sao Paulo, making his debut with the first team in 2018. 

After two and a half seasons with the Brazilian team, he made the leap to European football with Ajax in February 2020. The Brazilian stood out during his stay in the Netherlands with 24 goals in 82 games, winning two league titles and a Dutch cup. 

His great numbers led him to join Manchester United in the summer of 2022, a team with which he won the League Cup and the FA Cup. 

The new Betis signing has played for Brazil's senior national team, with which he participated in the 2022 World Cup and with which he won Olympic gold in 2021.
