Real Betis fans threw 25,092 soft toys onto the pitch during LaLiga match against Getafe CF

The highest figure since this traditional Christmas charity initiative began in 2018

Real Betis held yesterday, during the match against Getafe CF, its traditional rain of soft toys (Lluvia de peluches, in Spanish), a Christmas charity initiative which, through various organisations and entities, aims to ensure that no child goes without a gift this Christmas.

In this edition -the first to be held at La Cartuja due to renovation works at the Benito Villamarin Stadium- Real Betis fans threw 25,092 soft toys, the largest number since the initiative started in 2018.

From today, Real Betis and its Foundation have begun donating them to the organizations and entities that requested them and will be responsible for delivering them to children in need. Among them is the Malabo Orphanage in Equatorial Guinea, supported by former Real Betis player Benjamín Zarandona.

Real Betis and its Foundation would like to thank the 54,365 fans who attended yesterday's match at La Cartuja for their massive response to this initiative once again this season.
