Born on Fabruary 24, 1957. He came through the academy at Real Betis before making his debut for the club at just 19 in January 1977. In 1985 he signed for Real Madrid, before returning to Betis in 1992. He represented his coutnry 75 times, 59 of which came as a Betis player.
On December 13, 2010 he was elected president of Real Betis Balompié, a position that he held until June 29, 2011. He currently holds the title of Director of External and Institutional Relations.
