Real Betis Balompié gets closer to the Chinese market with a new profile in Weibo

The Club continues with their international development strategy

Real Betis Balompié continue with their international growth by increasing their presence in China, a key strategic market, with a new account in Weibo, the most important social network in the Asian country. The search for a higher number of followers in China with content adapted and in their mother tongue responds to the need of attracting new audiences and enlarge the number of fans. In just a few weeks, the Real Betis Weibo profile has experienced a huge growth, with 11,229 followers in the first three months. This means that the Green and Whites are one of the LaLiga clubs with a bigger engagement in this social network.

 

"It's a very interesting country for their growing interest in football and, especially, their big interest in development and training" says Ramón Alarcón, Real Betis Balompié business general manager. "In China, we have focused on helping and cooperating in the footballer's education and progression. We have organized talks about methodology and closed deals with the target of a joint cooperation."

 

The Club has experienced an exponential growth in the last years with games in United States and Mexico, and different events in the American continent to celebrate El Gran Derbi (Brasil, Mexico and USA). Also, their position in Japan has been strengthen, with more than 8,000 followers in social media, where several events for the Green and White Japanese fans have been held in collaboration with LaLiga. "At Real Betis we are always looking to adapt our penetration strategies in each country depending on their interests", stated Ramón Alarcón.
